Trip leaders needed - contact the SRC Trip Convenor!

Any member with sufficient skills and experience can organise and lead a club climbing trip. As an added bonus, each time you lead a club trip, your name goes into a draw for a very cool prize at the end of the year - last year we awarded a number of $100 gift vouchers from Mountain Equipment.  Send trip proposals to the SRC Trip Convenor who is responsible for approving, registering and advertising club trips.

Before leading a trip, you should read the SRC Risk Management Document (PDF file - requires Adobe Reader).  At the start of the trip, all participants should sign the Attendance Sheet.

Only current financial members can attend a SRC climbing trip. See our membership page for details on how to join the club.
Remember: No helmet, no climb!

On a club climbing trip, you are covered by the SRC's Personal Accident Insurance Policy, which provides limited no-fault compensation in the event of accidental injury. The SRC does not have public liability insurance cover.

Our legal advisor has prepared a list of answers to commonly asked questions about legal liability when climbing (PDF file - requires Adobe Reader).

Be safe and enjoy your climbing!
